How we can help

Sequel Home Based Care services are designed to assist you to perform the essential activities of daily living. These services generally fall in to two main categories:

  • Home Care
  • Personal Care

Home care duties generally require the Sequel support worker to look after your household and its contents. These duties include basic household tasks such as general cleaning and tidying up.

Personal care services require the Sequel support worker to directly look after your well-being and safety. The support worker can help you with things like meal preparation, grooming, bathing and showering, dressing assistance and companionship.

Sequel Home Based Care can provide assistance with shopping, recreational outings, in-home respite care and access to social work and counselling. We can also help with transition into residential care when appropriate. Please also be aware that when one of Sequel’s support workers enters your home to perform allocated or agreed duties, your home also temporarily becomes their workplace. The Code of Practice, as dictated by Occupational Health & Safety legislation, then applies. This legislation is designed to ensure the safety of both you and your support worker.
